Hello!

My name is Roald and I was born in The Netherlands on 8 January 1993. I have studied Social Work and worked as a Social Worker, but my real passion is in Level Design and other forms of using my creativity to create things. I love to experiment; try out new things and face new challenges. I also love to plan and organize to have things run more smoothly in the long run.

Project for an external company (under NDA)

- Level Design for a Multiplayer Extraction FPS.

- Learned CryEngine & Perforce.

- Build up a relationship with the new partner and Level Designers and maintain communication.

- Documented all my learnings.

- Created an onboarding plan and onboarded new people.

- Mentoring & Planning (providing feedback/direction, tech support, teaching workflows). 

- Learned about Spatial Design

- Going through the whole project cycle (start to end).

Bongfish 

Creating maps for Wargaming (World of Tanks & Cold War)

- Do research on specific locations and moments in history.

- Use different biomes and landmarks and make them come together in one space (with LD rules applied).

- 2D sketch to 3D sketch to playtesting, iterating, polishing, documenting, and consulting art.

- Learned two in house engines (Unified Engine & BroEngine) and working with SVN, Git, Jira & Confluence

Anubis has been added in the CS:GO official map rotation from 1 April 2020 till 3 May 2021. It got reintroduced on 16 August 2022 and was officially added to the Active Duty map pool on 18 November 2022.
